9.5cm Turkish Smooth Bore Gun


Location - War Memorial, Mt Morgan



Captured by the Light Horse, Bersheeba, Palestine. Thought to be a conversion of an old gun to a short range smooth bore fortress gun. The carriage has elements of the Krupp C73 carriage with a barrel possibly from a Russian gun. Comparison with a similar gun at Quorn, SA (final image) shows that the gun has been assembled incorrectly.
